1. Plug the SculptWaver into an electrical outlet; the “L’ange” logo will then illuminate on the digital display (the tool has not started heating).
2. To open the clamp, start by sliding the lock lever up, located near the bottom of the handle.
3. To heat the tool, press and hold the power button. (The tool will automatically recall the last temperature used, which appears on the digital display.)
4. While the tool is heating up, the selected temperature light will flash until it reaches the temperature, which will then remain steadily lit.
5. To adjust the temperature at any time, press the temperature button to cycle between 280°F and 430°F.
6. Press the 'timer' button to turn the desired reminder time function ON (choose from 4, 6, 8, or 10 seconds). For the first time, the default is set to 4 seconds.
7. Once the upper and lower heating plates are closed, the timer starts. When the time is up, there will be a beep sound as a reminder.
8. Close the upper and lower heating barrels again, and the timer restarts. (Press and hold the timer button for 2 seconds to turn off the timing function.)
9. To start styling, apply your L’ange heat protectant of choice.
10. Detangle and divide hair into small, manageable sections.
11. Insert a 1-2” section of hair between the plates. (Make sure to keep the hot plates away from your face and body.)
12. Starting near your roots, gently press down. The longer the hair is pressed, the more defined the wave will be.
13. Continue this process down the length of your hair, and repeat the remaining sections until your desired style is achieved.
14. Once finished, press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds to turn OFF the tool. All lights on the handle will turn off.
15. Unplug the SculptWaver, wait until its completely cooled, and close the clamp. Re-engage the clamp lock before storing away.
