- Plug the tool in. No lights will illuminate when the tool is plugged in. Make sure ALCI plug is reset and not in test mode.
- To connect: Align your attachment of choice with the base, then push it in until it clicks and locks into place automatically.
- To remove: Twist and hold the release mechanism to the unlock position, then gently remove the attachment from the base.
- Slide the switch up to Dry/Style mode to turn ON the tool. The tool will default to 180°F and the Low fan speed.
- Press the temperature button with the thermometer icon to cycle between the three heat settings: 180°F, 210°F, 250°F.
- Press the button with the fan icon to cycle between the three fan speed settings: Low, Medium, High.
- When the tool is set to Dry Mode, the cool burst icon functions as a traditional cool shot. Press and hold the button for continuous cool air. Release the button to automatically return to hot air.
- When the tool is set to Style Mode, the SmartStyle feature is activated. Press the snowflake button once to begin an 8-second burst of cool air. A countdown timer will display. Afterward, the airflow will pause so you can easily release your hair. Press the snowflake button a second time to resume airflow. The tool will automatically return to your previous heat and speed setting.
Pro Tip: All attachments work in Dry Mode or Style Mode. For best results, use the curl barrels in Style Mode to take advantage of the SmartStyle feature. This helps set curls with longer-lasting, frizz-free results.
