    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. How can I create curls with GlamWave Infrared Thermal Ionic Brush? Start with hair that is completely dried and detangled before using GlamWave Infrared Thermal Ionic Brush. Choose a temperature suited for your hair type (lower for fine hair, higher for thick or coarse hair). Work with 1”–1.5” sections—about the width of the brush barrel—for the best results. Wrap hair around the barrel, let it set for a moment, then either twist down the barrel or gently unravel for a smooth, voluminous finish. Remember to wrap hair diagonally across the barrel and work from roots to mid-lengths to ends. Repeat on remaining sections until the desired style is achieved. Then set your look with Stardust, Move-It, or Satin Nectar. 2. How do I create full-volume blowouts with GlamWave Infrared Thermal Ionic Heat? To achieve full-volume blowouts with GlamWave, take a small section of hair and wrap it around the barrel. Let it set for a moment, before either twisting it down the barrel or gently unraveling it for a smooth, voluminous finish. 3. How do I curl short hair with GlamWave Infrared Thermal Ionic Heat? And what about long hair? For short hair, use wrap small sections and focus on adding volume at the root, as well as flipping and bending ends for a bouncy, lifted look. For long hair, wrap larger sections consistent to the diameter size of the barrel and add movement and volume throughout each pass. You can also flip ends, create soft curls, or add body all over. Wrap hair diagonally for a smooth brush glide, focusing on roots, then mid-lengths then ends. 4. Is infrared technology better for styling? Infrared technology heats hair from within, unlike traditional styling tools which heat only on the surface. Infrared heat penetrates deep into the hair shaft, minimizing heat damage and keeping hair healthier over time. It also seals the hair cuticle, reducing frizz and flyaways. At the same time, it enhances hair for a smooth, touchably soft finish. GlamWave’s innovative infrared technology creates healthier, shinier, and longer-lasting styles—all with less heat damage! 5. Can you use this thermal ionic brush on wet hair? No, you should not use GlamWave on wet hair. You should only use this thermal ionic brush on completely dry hair. Don't forget to apply your L'ange heat protectant of preference before styling. 6. What’s the difference between a thermal ionic brush and a blow dryer brush? A thermal ionic brush does not have airflow for blow drying hair like a blow dryer brush. GlamWave should be used on dry hair only. It uses ionic technology to deliver shine, and custom bristles with a heated ceramic-coated barrel to deliver blowout results without the air. 7. Can I travel internationally with GlamWave? Yes, GlamWave has dual voltage and so can be used internationally. This thermal ionic brush is also lightweight, making it ideal for traveling.
