HAIR SALON CLOSES DOWN AFTER 12 CLIENTS BUY A NEW HAIRBRUSH

Doesn’t matter the type of lifestyle she leads, the career path she has chosen to provide for herself and her family, or the level of self-confidence she harnesses while strolling down the street: Every woman loves her hair, and is willing to spend part of her budget on it! From getting highlights and trims at the salon to keep up with the latest trend, to shampooing, blow-drying, and styling the “mane” at home, women from all over the world invest a lot of money, time, and energy into their hair. And rightly so: After all, we often see our hair as a reflection of our identity.

Both personal and public, our hair shows off the way we are inside: It comes without a surprise that a bad hair day often equals a bad day in general, and that when a woman’s hair is too frizzy, dry, turning grey, or even falling out, her self-esteem is seriously affected and her confidence impaired. There are many things hair has symbolized for women throughout time, like...

Women belonging to different cultures and backgrounds may have different lifestyles and beliefs, but they all rejoice together in the beauty hair allows every woman to feel!

  • Femininity: History shows that hair is a symbol of the inner goddess every woman nurtures inside. Want an example? During the civil war, women soldiers disguised themselves as men to partake into the battles by cutting off their hair. Shaving off hair was also considered a punishment in France, and up to now what hair symbolizes still remains the same: Something to show off, and to attract the attention. No surprise that, when we go out for a date or an important event, one of the first things we make sure to have in order is our hair! We also playfully fidget with it when flirty, and tie it up when things get serious.
  • Identity: It’s even stated in religious texts: “But for a woman, if her hair is abundant, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering”. Ladies often feel like their hair is a “crowning glory”: There are so many hairstyles out there that feature hair braided in the resemblance of a crown itself!
  • Freedom and Beauty: If you have ever enjoyed a pleasant, thrilling ride on a motorcycle or an open car, then you know that feeling. Having your hair in the wind is one of the best feelings out there, because it makes you feel free like you are part of the wind itself!
  • Liberation: In the 1950s, female soldiers sported a short bob cut just below the ears. The hairstyle was then named the “Liberation Hairdo” because it was a symbol of women taking control over their own lives, and empowering themselves to do whatever they wanted with themselves! Even today, women continue to use their hair to express themselves: Just think of how many of us align a new life with a new hairstyle!

But how much do we spend to make our lioness’ mane always look perfect?

As you can probably guess, hair and beauty is a multibillion-dollar industry that has been at the top of marketing trends for centuries. How many times a month do you go to the hair salon? How much care and attention to the details do you put into searching for the next shampoo and hair conditioner?

This is not just because we only believe that appearances are important, even if, to some extent, they do matter. But our hair represents our personality, thoughts, and beliefs - It has always been the number one element to engage in a different lifestyle and living opportunity. For centuries, we have been able to switch up our roles just by changing different hairstyles and feeling empowered and in control, so it’s no news that hair contributes to our self-esteem, actions, and motives.

So, according to a new survey, women usually spend $80 and 11 hours on their hair per month... Which means that, adding everything up, women drop over $55,000 in a lifetime on hair products, tools, and treatments!

Following the indications of this study, blondes also have it rougher than brunettes, spending an average of $505 more, for a total amount of almost $3000 extra in a lifetime.

Hairstyles, and taking care of our hair the best way there is, is important to women: And this is 100% reflected in the amount of money they are willing to spend on it.

So what about you? Have you ever taken some time to reflect on how much your hair means to you...And how much you spend on it every year? It might not seem like a huge amount each time you buy a new tool for your hair, or go to a salon. After all, these expenses only come one at a time, so it’s difficult to weigh the situation and assess your expenses. However, when you add everything up over a few years, the total is actually quite staggering.

Doesn’t matter, though, how much these numbers seem alarming: Nothing can beat the feeling of walking out of the salon with your hair looking great. After we have taken the time (and yes, even the money out of our budgets) to look after our mane, we feel ready to conquer the entire world. Suddenly, everything becomes less of a problem and more of a challenge that we are ready to face!

Many women say they are happy to spend whatever it takes to make sure their hair looks good, and to keep up with the latest hair trends springing over social media platforms.

But, for the sake of being complete with this article, it’s also important to take a look at how much ladies spend on hair styling tools.

We have already seen the impact our hair has on the wallet, but where exactly do styling tools fit into the equations? It’s important to also weigh this factor down, especially with the incredible story I am about to reveal!

Styling tools are super important to keep our hair in shape from the comfort of our home. They are the number one ally that comes to our aid whenever we have an unexpected event, or we are just feeling lazy and don’t want to run down to the nearest hair salon. For this aspect only, hair tools and devices have been the greatest invention for our hair: They offer us the chance to look good even on a rainy morning, when we feel like we have woken up with the wrong foot...And we can gain back our confidence as quickly as it takes to style a curl.

Despite the massive spend at the hair salon, 83% of women have stated to have at least once in their lifetime spent on a hair styling tool... And that, most of the time, they weren’t satisfied enough with it to keep using the device, and had to replace it. The total amount of money spent on this continuous exchange of hair tools equals to over 39% of the expenses we make every year for our hair!

So it does come as a surprise, really, that a hair salon in California has recently closed down due to its clients buying a new hairbrush.

That’s right: How can a hairbrush make a hair salon literally go bankrupt and close its premises?! After having seen the data provided in this article, the fact is truly shocking. With so many women having to replace their hair tool more than once every year, how come a simple hairbrush exceeded the expectations of this hair salon’s clientele... To the point of having it hang up the “CLOSED” sign forever?

It is difficult to believe, but this is all true. The premises of the hair salon “Curl Me Baby” closed forever on the Sept 3, 2020. And, being situated in a very small quarter, the news circulated, and people began prying for information.

Everybody knows gossip is easy to spread around, so that’s how the entire city quickly got in on the fact...And every woman started whispering about this hair tool.

Le Volume is the name of the culprit: With a small clientele coming in for an hairstyle every month, this hair salon was noticing something extremely worrying for its business - More than half of its loyal customers were starting to go missing, week after week.

Curious and extremely preoccupied with his business, the owner of the Curl Me Baby hair salon started to investigate the matter by asking questions to those who would still keep coming over for his services.

His bewilderment in understanding the matter at hands was maximum: A hairbrush was literally robbing him of his monthly income!

So I decided I was going to be testing the hairbrush itself, in order to understand what everyone is literally raving about.

I absolutely needed to get in on this “revolutionary” hair styling tool. After all, I myself am a big spender on hair products and tools...And I consider myself being one of those women always on the hunt for the next, most effective styling device. Therefore, as soon as I got home after a meeting with my friends who were also talking about the magical wand that turns even the unruliest hair into a beautiful, silky smooth styled mane... I went online to do a bit of research. Turns out, this hairbrush is no joke!

Remember when I typed “How come a SIMPLE hairbrush exceeded the expectations of this hair salon’s clientele”? Well, there’s absolutely nothing “simple” about it! And I’m not talking about the ease of use, because Le Volume is extremely easy and comfortable to operate: I’m talking about it not being just a common hairbrush you put in your closet and forget about.

Le Volume is a 2-in-1 volumizing brush dryer whose tug-resistant bristles grip the hair to give the right amount of tension to create incredible styles with outstanding results. It promises maximum body and lift, and to gently smooth hair to make it shiny and frizz-free, without endangering it with extreme heat!

Le Volume almost seems too good to be true.

GENTLE ON YOUR HAIR.

Heat styling has always been a regular fixture of many people’s hair care regimen, and different heat styling devices litter the counters of many bathrooms. However, the excessive heat delivered on the hair by low-quality tools can cause some serious damage to the hair, for issues that range from excessive flyaways and brittle, dry feeling hair, all the way to burnt and singed hair and even hair loss! Le Volume allows every woman to avoid the harmful effects of hair styling, while still achieving incredible, glossy-looking hair at the end of the quick process. In order to avoid the negative effects of heat styling, the airflow of this top quality tool is adjustable, so that you can control the amount of heat coming in contact with your locks!

THE BEST MONEY-SAVING HAIR DEVICE OUT THERE.

I must admit: After having tried Le Volume, I will very rarely need to come back to the hair salon again. I completely understand Curl Me Baby’s clientele: This device is so incredible at what it does that it almost seems like I am a professional hairstylist! Every time I use it, my friends always ask where I have gotten my hair done...Because it literally looks like I have just come out of a hair salon!

With our hair requiring women to spend so much money on it, I think this product is exceptional to keep hair maintenance costs low while still looking good...And, apparently, I’m not the only one convinced of this!

FINAL THOUGHTS

I have fallen in love with this volumizing brush dryer! It’s a super lightweight, professional-standard tool that dries fast without sacrificing a glossy finish, and allowing every woman to run out the door always looking curated. When I ordered, there were only a few pieces left - I guess it’s THAT wanted! So if you’re thinking about placing your purchase, and getting in on the newest hair trend, then act fast!
