How To Fill the Water Tank:

  1. Make sure your tool is OFF. Never attempt to fill the tank while the tool is ON.
  2. Remove the water tank cover.
  3. Fill the water bottle with distilled water only.
  4. To avoid buildup in your flat iron, do not use tap, purified, or spring water.
  5. Insert the needle-nose tip of the water bottle into the water tank.
  6. For best results, tilt both the bottle and the tool by 45°.
  7. Gently squeeze the water bottle until the tank is nearly full of water (10 ml max fill).
  8. Carefully swirl the tool to remove air bubbles and ensure that your tank is filled.
  9. Replace the tank cover.
  10. If your tank becomes empty during styling, turn the tool OFF to refill and then turn it ON again to resume styling.
  11. Depending on the length and thickness of your hair, you may need to refill the tank every 1-3 styling sessions.

How To Turn On Your Tool:

  1. Slide the button at the bottom of the handle to unlock the plates.
  2. Plug the device into an electrical outlet (110-240V).
  3. Turn your tool on by pressing and holding the power button.
  4. (Control buttons are inside the tool between the digital display & ceramic plates.)
  5. Select your preferred temperature by pressing the plus “+” or minus “-” buttons.
  6. The tool will beep when it reaches your desired temperature and is ready to style.
  7. To style with steam, press the button with the steam icon and make sure the blue steam indicator light is on.
  8. The tool will start to produce steam once it reaches 250°F.
  9. When the plates are closed, the tool will emit steam approximately every 5 seconds.

To Straighten Hair:

  1. Hair should be clean, detangled, and completely dry.
  2. Apply your L’ange heat protectant of choice.
  3. Divide hair into smaller, more manageable sections.
  4. Wear the heat-resistant glove on the hand that will be guiding your hair.
  5. Insert a section of hair no larger than 1” between the plates, starting near the roots.
  6. Gently squeeze the plates together as you slowly glide the iron from root to tip.
  7. Repeat on remaining sections of  hair until your desired style is achieved.
  8. It may be necessary to complete more than one pass on certain areas, depending on the texture and thickness of your hair.
  9. When you are finished styling, press and hold the power button to turn the tool off and then unplug it.
  10. Once the tool has completely cooled, store it in a cool, dry location.

Pro Tip: For best results, the tool should be used at a slower pace than a traditional flat iron. The tool releases steam every 5 seconds, so it may take 15-30 seconds (depending on the length of your hair) to complete a section and allow the steam to penetrate consistently.

To Curl Hair:

  1. We recommend removing the heat-resistant tips for curling hair.
  2. Hair should be clean, detangled, and completely dry.
  3. Apply your L’ange heat protectant of choice.
  4. Insert a strand of hair no larger than 1”. (Those with shoulder length hair or longer may want to start around the mid-shaft.)
  5. Wear the heat-resistant glove on your hand that will be guiding the hair.
  6. Hold the tip of the tool to further help guide the hair.
  7. Gently squeeze the plates together as you slowly glide the iron down the hair.
  8. Twist the iron (in your preferred direction) as you glide downward.
  9. Once you’ve reached the ends, gently release.
  10. If necessary, use your finger to shape the curl, then let it fall and cool.
