Apply Rival Heat Shield to protect your hair. We recommend wearing the heat resistant glove on the hand that will be holding and wrapping your hair. Keep the handle of the wand facing up and the tip downward. For extra volume, place the base of the iron near the root of your hair.

Starting at the base, begin winding a small, even section of hair around the barrel. Keep your hair wrapped for 5–10 seconds. You may wrap hair forward, backward or alternate directions for extra volume and texture. Release hair, letting the curl slide out from around the iron. Repeat on remaining hair until desired style is achieved.
